Important DHL Shipping Changes

As we’re sure you can imagine, there have been drastic increases in shipping costs from China to the USA since the COVID-19 outbreak began effecting China a few months ago. In an effort to best manage these costs, our factories have modified their shipping arrangement with DHL. Please take a moment to read these details.

  • When your garment orders are completed, they are kept in our shipping warehouse until the weekly scheduled shipping day (currently Fridays). Your DHL tracking number may appear in USTYYLIT before the shipment actually leaves

  • From now on, the shipments will be picked up in China as one bulk ‘Parent’ shipment and each retailer’s shipment is considered a ‘Child’ shipment. The Parent has its own Waybill number(s) and the Child packages have their own. Right now you are seeing the Child waybill numbers in your shop

  • The Child waybill numbers will not be activated until the Parent shipment reaches the USA and the individual Child tracking numbers are scanned by DHL. As a result, you will see a blank pop-up window when you check on a tracking number before the shipment reaches the USA

  • Once the shipment is in the USA your tracking number will display tracking info originating in the USA instead of China as shown below. The scan history begins at the bottom of the window going upward (scroll down to continue reading)

  • The shipments leave China on Fridays and arrive in the USA on Monday or Tuesday depending on customs clearance, which is clearly out of our control

  • Please do NOT reach out to Customer Service to ask for the status of the Parent tracking numbers before the end of the business day on Tuesdays. This will dramatically help our Customer Service team focus on their other normal daily service tasks and provide you with the best service possible

  • Our IT team in China is working diligently to update the USTYYLIT platform to include the Parent numbers in your shop as well. We do not have an ETA for the completion of this work at this time, but we are told it is a high priority in their current task list

We thank you for your patience and understanding while we all work through this constantly evolving COVID-19 situation.

Sincerely,

Trands USA
